Letter from Sheriff Morgan
To the Citizens of Escambia County:
It has been my honor to have served as your sheriff for the last three years.
In that time, I, along with the dedicated men and women of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, have worked tirelessly to make Escambia County a better community; a place where families and businesses may thrive in a safe environment. We are beginning to see measurable differences in the types and rates of crime in our neighborhoods. Many of the new and innovative community
law enforcement programs we began early in this administration are now beginning to take root.
I have dedicated my efforts to fostering an environment of positive change and encouraging a culture dedicated to professionalism and equal opportunity within the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. It is a strategic vision of merit based promotions and high ethical standards with a focus on service to our community. This approach offers an opportunity for all to participate in while assisting this agency to continue professional service to our citizens with integrity as we move through the 21st century.
I have been humbled by the outpouring of support from every social strata of our county from our poorest areas to the most affluent. The success of our outreach is best measured by the commitment shown every day by community leaders, pastors, neighborhood watch members, teachers, and non-profit advocates that have joined our team.
I ask that you help me continue this positive course for another term. Help me, and our community, “keep the momentum.” Together we are making a positive difference in Escambia County.
Thank you for your continued support, and vote in the 2012 elections.
Respectfully,
David Morgan, Sheriff
Escambia County Florida
